GOD

There is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons- the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit- equal in power and glory- and that this triune God created all, upholds all and governs all. We Believe in God the Father, an infinite, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love; that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men; that He hears and answers prayer; and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ is God’s Son, conceived in an ordinary woman, miraculously by the Holy Spirit. Therefore, Jesus is all God and all Man. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teachings. We believe in His substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people and personal, visible return to earth.

The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. The Holy Spirit regenerates, sanctifies and empowers believers for ministry and is an abiding Helper, Teacher and Guide for those in Christ. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and exercise all the Biblical gifts of the Spirit, in accordance with the Holy Scriptures. Spiritual gifts are given to glorify God and to edify His church.

We believe that salvation is by God’s grace, a free gift of God apart from works:

• Salvation requires repentance, turning from one’s own way
• Salvation is through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. We must look to Jesus’ punishment on the cross as payment for our own sin. We become regenerated by the Holy Spirit, confirming us as the children of God.
• True salvation will be manifested by a changed life with total submission to our Lord Jesus Christ.

As people become saved, they are automatically a member of the universal church of Jesus Christ. His church is a living spiritual body and Christ is the head. The Church should live as a unified community, committed to knowing and living in God’s word and committed to one another. The Church is the light of the world, we carry Christ everywhere we go and seek to do good in the world, by the power of the Holy Spirit.

We Believe in the personal, visible return of Christ to earth. With His return, Jesus will consummate His kingdom resulting in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment and eternal blessing of the righteous and the endless suffering of the wicked.
